“Incidents like this remind us that EMS professionals face significant risks every time they answer a call for help.  I am thankful to learn that everyone involved is safe and I appreciate the professionalism of our EMS providers and the response of additional first responders to this incident,” said Colonie Town Supervisor Peter G. Crummey.

“We are incredibly grateful that our personnel and our patient were not seriously injured, and we are proud of the professionalism our team demonstrated throughout the incident. We would also like to thank the New York State Police, the Colonie Police Department, Albany Fire Department & Mohawk Ambulance, our additional Colonie EMS crews who responded, and all of our public safety partners for their coordinated response and support. Together, we ensured the safety of everyone involved while maintaining uninterrupted emergency medical services to the Town of Colonie", said Colonie EMS Chief Erin Kelly.

The crash remains under investigation by the New York State Police and the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit. The media are requested to contact the Troop G Public Information Officer for additional information.
